A solid, functional design, advanced metal alloys, and exceptional construction form the basis for the new Denso hi-performance spark plugs with Iridium Power! The center electrode utilizes iridium, which is six times harder and eight times stronger than platinum to create the world's smallest center electrode tip (0.4mm) for maximum firing performance and reduced voltage requirements. A special tapered tip on the U-groove ground electrode contains the spark inside the U-groove gap, enabling it to develop into a hotter flash front for a more complete combustion - greatly improving fuel efficiency and engine performance.
